Eleni has a BSc in Dietetic and Nutrition Science from Harokopio University of Athens and master’s degree in Sport Nutrition from Liverpool John Moores University in UK.
Eleni is a graduate from Liverpool John Moores University and holds a master’s degree in Sport Nutrition. She is also a dietitian holding a degree in Dietetic and Nutrition Science from Harokopio University of Athens.
She works both as a freelancer sport nutritionist supporting athletic performance and as a dietitian providing support to a number of cases.
During her undergraduate studies she worked at KAT hospital in Athens, FAGE food industry and the academy of Panathinaikos Football Club (FC) as part of her internship program. Her dissertation was “Nutritional habits of basketball players” and she also participated in a study regarding exercise induced muscle damage after a basketball game.
While studying her master’s degree she conducted her placement as a sport nutritionist of Salisbury amateur boxing club based in Liverpool. At the same time, she was the sport nutrition consultant of the LJMU American football team. The research project she worked on was about sleeping with low carbohydrate availability and then training under fasted condition (Sleep low – Train low) and the impact of this protocol on perceived exertion.
Nowadays, she volunteers at Halton Spartans American football team as the sport nutrition consultant, where she mainly focuses on providing educational support around nutrition and athletic adaptations.
Finally, she is an accredited Graduate registrant of the Sport and Exercise Nutrition registration (SENr-BDA) and a Level 1 Anthropometrist (ISAK).
