Yiannis holds a MSc in Sports Science from Loughborough University and a PhD in Nutrition and Clinical Dietetics from Harokopeio University of Athens in Greece.
Yiannis obtained his MSc in Sports Science from Loughborough University in 2001 and completed his doctoral thesis in 2009 from the department of Nutrition and Clinical Dietetics of Harokopeio University, Athens, Greece.
His research agenda basically involved the effect of different types of exercise on lipid metabolism and kinetics by making use of stable isotopes.
From 2006 until 2017 Yiannis has been providing sports science support for Panathinaikos FC and from 2017 until today for Panathinaikos BC, by monitoring and evaluating the physiological profile of the elite and young athletes.
Since 2015, Yiannis has been collaborating with the scientific team of Regeneration and Progress in order to develop and support the Sports Excellence Program that is undertaken by the 1st Orthopaedic Clinic of Medical School at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Since 2010, Yiannis has been lecturing for the Postgraduate degree of Sports Nutrition, in the department of Nutrition and Clinical Dietetics of Harokopeio University and since 2017 in the Exercise & Health Postgraduate degree program of the 1st Orthopaedic Clinic of Medical School at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Yiannis has 14 peer reviewed scientific publications in international journals.
At the moment he is scientific director and co-owner of nutricise®, providing individualized exercise testing-analysis and sports nutrition counselling.
