Giannis has a BSc in Physical Education and Sports Science from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, MSc and Phd in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics, path Sports Nutrition from the Harokopio University of Athens in Greece.
Giannis is a Post-doc student of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in Harokopio University. He has obtained his Bachelor degree on Physical Education in 2003 and his Master degree on Applied Nutrition and Dietetics (Sports Nutrition) in 2006, from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in Harokopio University of Athens, Greece. A year later he has been accepted for PhD studies in sports nutrition and made his research on the “Effects of hydration status on cardiovascular function and athletic performance”. He obtained his PhD on 2012.
He has numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals, 2 book chapters, 14 presentations (4 oral, 10 posters) at International Congresses and 2 presentations at national scientific meetings.
Giannis at 2012 received the 1st Young Researcher Award in the Hydration for Health Congress for his project: “The Effect of Hydration Status on Endothelium Function”.
Currently, he is a research assistant in the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, in the modules of graduate and post-graduate studies (2008).
