Antonis has a degree from School of Physical Education and Sports Science in Trikala Greece, a MSc in Applied Exercise Physiology from the University of Wolverhampton and a PhD in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Wolverhampton.
Antonis is a Senior Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Physiology with an interest in the links between exercise and inflammation.
Antonis graduated from the School of Physical Education and Sports Science in Trikala Greece and earned his MSc and PhD in Applied and Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Wolverhampton.
His research has focused mainly on patients with chronic inflammatory conditions and especially arthritis. Obesity, inflammation, exercise and their interactions have been the key areas of his investigations. Several of his publications have been used by various national and international bodies (such as the NICE and WHO) to produce guidelines.
Recently he has expanded his interests investigating the physiological effects of high-intensity or extreme-duration exercise. Moreover, he is now involved in a number of nutritional supplementation studies.
